M.A.C.imum Performance

Finally, a lip balm that scores over vaseline and re establishes my faith in cute lil high end lip pots

The claims: Go like this

The Verdict: Does all that it claims to do. The hint of vanilla is a nice bonus. Shows promise of lasting for half a year at least.

The Cons: Slightly sweet and tastes good enough, so you may end up licking it off in no time.

Nailed

I am not blessed with long and strong nails. They don't grow really long and french manicure is the only style that suits them. Bright and opaque colors are a no-no.
So i decided to try fake nails inspite of the many chipping, breaking, nail surface eroding stories i read about them.

After successfuly sticking them on and removing them safely, i've concluded that they are good to u if u are good to them and this is how you must do it.

1. Buy the most expensive pack of them all

2. Never put them on for more than 3 days

3. Try limiting usage to once a month, if possible only for very special occassions.

4. Give your nails some warm oil massage after every stick and remove session.

5. don't do any rough work when they are on.

Lip Sync

The Product: Body Shop's Lip Butter

The Claims: "Add wow to your pout. Condition as you smooth with this little pot that's big on Community Trade softeners. Just try not to keep kissing it off!"

Before I talk about this product,I must say that I am a petroleum jelly fan. I feel nothing works better on the lips than good old vaseline and have a tendency of comparing every lip balm with it

The Verdict: The claims,i feel are exaggerated. It pales in comparison to petroleum jelly. I admit it is a cute thing to be had in the purse but i will never buy it again after this is over. I will probably fill in some vaseline in this tub.

Fantabulous!!!!!

The Product: Body Shop's Brilliance Powder

The Claims: "A lightweight sparkle powder with shimmering pearls that provides a natural-looking sun-kissed finish for the face and body. Available in a shimmer or matte finish."

If there is anything that works wonders for this product,it is the packaging. There are many such products in the market that come either like beads or in a compact-like box or in the form of a loose powder. This is the first time that i have seen such an attractive packaging. As shown in the picture, it comes in a tube with a brush that dispenses the product.

The shimmer is too good be it the transparent or the bronze version. Its usability is as versatile as your imagination permits.

The Pros: the shimmer, the versatility and the fact that it can be kept in your bag always.

The Cons: I felt the brush could have been softer. I am not even sure if the brush can be washed

The Verdict: It is a must have. Just right for a glam evening do or for those days when u want to look made up without actually going overboard.
